Janaki Kumar, Senior Director of User Experience, SAP Labs Palo Alto

Janaki Kumar is a Senior Director of User Experience at SAP Labs Palo Alto. She specializes in designing business software for a variety of enterprise domains. Currently, she is focused on SAP’s cloud based CRM, Sustainability and Innovation products, both on the desktop and mobile. Over the last few years, she has considered the possibility of incorporating the principles of Gamification into business software to enhance user engagement. She has over 15 years of experience in the field of User Experience, both as a designer, and as a manager of design teams. She has led globally distributed team members in India, China, United States and Germany.

Janaki has a Masters in Finance and a Masters in Information Systems from Boston University. She is the author of several patent applications of innovative user interface concepts.
